What Are Airtight and Semi-Airtight Doors?
The terms “airtight door” and “semi-airtight door” are not specifically defined under JIS or other formal standards. Therefore, there is no single official definition of what qualifies as an airtight door.
In general, however, doors with a certain level of air leakage performance are commonly referred to by these terms.
In many cases, doors that meet the A-4 air leakage performance level specified in JIS A 4702 and JIS A 4706 are referred to as airtight doors. Similarly, doors that meet the A-3 level are often referred to as semi-airtight doors.
